~ Episode Six ~
*sniff* What's that smell?
Why, I do believe that's the sweet smell of immuniteh.
It was probably a mistake to beast it up the way I did today. In fairness, I totally did briefly debate trying to win this challenge the proper way, by slavishly investigating every single post the way that nature intended. But then something occurred to me. I didn't want to. I hate the way nature intends things. Nature intends for my hometown to be -40 degrees in the winter, and I prefer to maintain a body temperature where I won't shatter my arm into frozen chunks if I give someone a high five. Nature intends for mosquitoes to have access to my sweet, sweet blood whenever they want it. Nature intends for bears to eat me whenever they please. So if nature intends for me to open fifty spoiler tags hoping that maybe *this* will be the one that has that goshdarn banner, nature can just go off and get bent by greenhouse gasses.
It also crossed my mind that throwing the challenge might be a good idea. Winnow out some of the Hmongs, and get my allies into a better position. But everybody knows what happened last time I did that, and the hell if I'm going through that again. Well, that, and Caleb or Joaq is the mole, and they were promiscuous with their alliances. That's what you get when you step out on a Latina, carajo!
Besides, at least three of those guys broke the rules by linking the image instead of actually posting it, and apparently Alec had videos in his post (Embarrassingly enough I didn't actually notice that, despite being the one to find his token. Awks!), so in effect they cheated. If you've ever watched a Disney movie, you know what had to happen there. If underdogs didn't win all the time, what would be the point of being one?
The other upshot to winning, and winning so decisively, is that it gives me a much better in with people like Rudy and Tyson (and theoretically Jaclyn on the rare occasions when her orbital trajectory brings her within viewing distance of the Earth). We have the numbers, we have the power, and instead of throwing it like bitches, we're dominating our old tribemates and sending them to tribal council to get voted out. That's going to come in very handy if and when it comes time for another swap, or the merge hits.
Anyway, it's definitely a satisfying feeling, even if it does mean that I'm totally going to be a huge target at the merge now. Which, y'know... will be just a staggering change of pace from both other seasons of this game.
