Pre-Game Thoughts

Well, the AIM sign-up server is toast right now, and I've got nothing better to do, so here's some ramblings. Everyone is going around "liking" each other's posts and crap right now, including myself, meaning we're all either hilarious and amusing, or major asskissers. In my head, I'm thinking of it like a smile -- could mean something, could be nothing. Maybe everyone is simply being polite. I'm not. To me, it's more of a meaningful nod. Kind of like a non-verbal "Hey, I like you without even having met you yet!". I'm still trying to decide how I want to approach this pre-merge game, in regards to social dynamics. Do I want everyone to align with me right off the bat like in my first season? Or maybe I should I take a less active role this time around. Perhaps I try to walk the line between the two. I definitely need to make sure I'm active and social, especially if the tribes end up split in three.

I like Rudy so far, though I'm sure the shtick is going to get old real fast once the time comes to talk game with him, and he's more interested in making humorous references. I hope he goes pre-merge (sorry Rudy). I don't see that happening, though, so long as he's fairly active and not an idiot, 'cause everyone else most likely enjoys the shtick as much as I do. So . . . my main hope is simply that he's not on my tribe. LOL -- let the other tribe deal with him for now.

Round 1 - Pre-Challenge

The game is afoot, as Tarzan would say, as well as our very own Max Dawson who happens to hate me still! I was messaged by Joaquin almost immediately, which says to me that he'll be someone I need to keep close. Social players are some of the toughest competition early on, and I don't want to be in the bad graces of somebody in the good graces of everyone else. I believe he's looking to align with some people, and I'm going to try and make sure I'm one of them. Goth Alec also messaged me, and that conversation was . . . interesting. He seems to like me, though, so I guess I'll take it. Monica seems like a really nice, genuine person. I think I may try to align with her, too.

Shane Powers. This guy, he's either going far, or he's one of the first people out. There's a very strong possibility that he's already rubbing people the wrong way, 'cause his jokes tend to lean more toward deprecating than not. A hard sense of humour to understand, I suppose. That, or people are loving it. I've gotten a good vibe from him so far.  I think, if he sticks around, he'll be somebody who gets targeted before me later on down the road. Valuable for a player like me to have a loud shield standing in front of them. 8)

Ami just messaged me, and she seems nice enough, though a little . . .  ditzy? Anyway, that now leaves Ashley and Brooke as the only two I haven't had a chance to converse with yet. I bet y'all one of them doesn't even show up, or spookily disappears after a day or so.

On the other tribe, I got positive vibes from Tyson and Aras. I can definitely see those two working together over there, and I wouldn't mind working with them when I inevitably get swap-fucked, either.

OH YEAH, I ALMOST FORGOT TO TALK ABOUT THE MOLE! Survivor Team America. I think I might know who it is already. I saw that Goth Alec was online early, and when we spoke about the mole twist, he put on this clueless facade. I mean, he could just as easily have been trying to come off as clueless in a more broad sense, or maybe he really is clueless. I don't know. I've got a weird feeling about him, though, aside from all of the gothic tomfoolery. As for the "mole" in general, I'm not too worried about it. Sure, it could definitely end up screwing my game up early, but that also gives ammo against others. Want somebody specific out early? Talk to the tribe rat about how you think X is the mole, for Y reason. Boom. Automatic target.

An update, 'cause Rodney asked for more confessionals.

I played Cards against Humanity tonight with Monica and Shane, along with some PWs. I was already tight with Shane, and now Monica is tight with the two of us! Shane and I spoke after the game, and we've decided to propose a three person alliance to Monica tomorrow at some point. Shane wants to bring Joaq in as a fourth eventually, too, but I don't know if that's the best choice, considering Shane confirmed that he'd also been worked by Joaq a couple minutes into the game. He seems to share these concerns, though, so I think Shane and I are going to work pretty well together. We do still need a fourth person, so we're going to test the waters tomorrow with Wiglesworth and Brooke. I wonder how long it'll be before someone approaches me with their own alliance proposal? My money is on Ami.

It was interesting tonight, watching everyone cleverly dancing around having to make any actual decisions in regards to who is going to be Prey and Predators. That's sort of my strength in challenges, organization, but I really don't want to become this tribe's "leader" figure, like I was the first time I played. Wait, am I basically Russell Swan right now?
Jokes aside, I may indeed have to jump back into that role, especially since I'm not so good at challenges themselves, unless it's, like, Survivor Battleship or something to do with trivia. Survivor Family Feud? That'd be friggen cool, man.

Round One - Challenge

Welp, we're going to lose this challenge, so there's not much to say in regards to that. Everyone seems to be indifferent about Brooke leaving, and I'm over here like shiiiiiiiiiiiiittt. She was going to be my backup option, man! Crap. I sort of bonded with her today over The Walking Dead, and Indiana Jones. Once all of the elimination stuff went down, I immediately PM'd her and told her to not worry about being the first person voted off, and that I had her back. She'd already "quit" at that point, though, so there goes my Abi-Maria.

I've got to start thinking of a new backup option, and fast. I bonded with Goth Alec pretty late last night. He's from Romania, and I'm a slight insomniac, so I'm able to communicate with him when others might not be able to. On the other hand, I still suspect him of being the mole.
Ami seems to be looking for an alliance. She told me today that she feels as though we've connected, and I reciprocated those thoughts. I don't know how much I trust her, but my options are limited right now, so I can't really be too choosy.
Tracy, I haven't met yet. I think a lot of people are going to be approaching her with deals and alliance offers, so I think I might want to either jump on that, or hold off until it doesn't look disingenuous.

My primary alliance formed today, though, so that's pretty cool. Shane, Monica, myself, and  . . . Joaq. I still don't trust Joaq too much, but Wiglesworth never came online, so there it is. I told Shane to actually pull me in last with the others, so as to come off like I'm on the bottom of the alliance. He thinks it's smart, because if one ever decides to flip, they'd try and recruit the bottom. What he doesn't realize, though, is that I just don't want to be the head of a power alliance, and if somebody comes looking to recruit me against the head of said power alliance down the road, I'll actually consider it. LOL, poor Shane.

There's a pretty good chance that Wiglesworth will be the first real boot this season. I've seen her say something maybe once in our tribe chat, and she hasn't shown up for the challenge yet at all. #AFKelly.

Late night confessional, 'cause boredom.

I'm stuck here with the tedious task of making sure we don't lose too badly. Brooke didn't even get one flag up before she got caught, and Ashley managed to get all of one. It seems kind of obvious to me that the correct way to do this would be to simply hop on here when the other tribe's predator isn't looking and proceed to spam-post until caught, but everyone is so afraid of getting caught. I don't want to force them into doing shit so early into the game, so screw it. I'm only half-paying attention now. Rudy came on the forum and did the spam-post thing I wanted to do, and he got a good 15-20 flags up before I took him out. Oh man, if someone could get on here with Tapatalk, it's over. No post cooldown times.

Monica came online, and I decided to manipulate the dynamics of our alliance a little futher. Monica now (assumingly) trusts me the most out of the other three, and perceives Shane as a little game crazy. With my background influence over both Shane and Monica, I'm practically in control of this alliance now, and everyone aside from Shane still thinks I'm on the bottom. Perfect! 8)

I still need to create my side alliance, which at the moment looks like it'll be Ashley and someone else. Maybe Goth Alec. I'm going to continue working on Ami, as well as Ashley in order to make sure I'm in good with both of them. I think a swap is coming up soon, and I want to have all of my bases covered when it does.

Round One - Basically Post-Challenge

The tide has shifted, and now we're in the lead! A big lead. Also their last prey is their own AFKelly, which is pretty hilarious. I don't know what it is with Rustic Survivor and names beginning with K. AFKelly, AFKatie, AF . . . whoever from Season 2, etc. Anyway, we're probably going to win now, so kudos to everyone else realizing how to win on their own.

Shane created an alliance with Goth Alec today, supposedly to bring him in as the fifth member of our alliance. It's starting to get a little out of hand now, but if he's going to blow his game up pre-merge, all the . . . Powers to him . . . hyuck hyuck hyuck.
He seems to know a little too much, though. For example, he claims to have bits and pieces of everyone's confessionals. He showed me one of Ami's where she's talking about a deal she made with Joaq to look out for each other. Maybe he's bullshitting me in order to make me weary of Joaq and Ami. I sure hope so. It'd suck ass if a PW really was leaking confessionals, though, especially my own . . .

I should try to create something with Ashley tonight, especially now that everyone is going to be distracted by Tracy. She was up pretty late with me last night and this morning, and I appreciated that a lot. She's from Australia, though, and I've never gotten along well with another Australian for some reason. Perhaps there's a first for everything?

Not much has gone down since we won the challenge, really. The chat has really calmed a lot after we won, which bothers me a bit. Kind of makes me think a lot of 1on1 chats are going down. They definitely are on my end, at least.

I made my alliance with Ashley, and we spoke a bit about who she'd want as a possible third addition. Her first suggestion? Joaq. Yup, don't trust that guy. I bet he's got 69 friggen alliances at this point, and I'm not having it in my backup. Vetoed. Second suggestion is Goth Alec, which would be fine, except . . . Shane has an alliance with him, and I can't risk Shane finding out about our side-alliance. Vetoed. My own suggestion was Ami, just because she's the last person here who isn't a big character, and I don't forsee her telling Joaq anything. I could pull in Monica, sure, but I want to keep this alliance completely separate from my main one, ideally. At least, for now.

If I had to put some of Shane's money down on who I thought was going home on Hmong, it'd have to be on . . . Kkk. I mean, uh, Nick. My first thought was not-as-AFKelly, but she did pretty well last minute with her Tapatalk stuff, and it might have worked if I hadn't lucked out in catching her. I think maybe they'll hold it against him that he was the only one on their tribe to only get one flag. Monica thinks Cirie is gone. I'm not really seeing it, but I suppose if she was as much of an ass to the people on her own tribe as she is to the people on ours, I could definitely see her being the first boot.

OH YEAH, AND A BREAKING DEVELOPMENT R . . . what the hell was that . . . my roommate snoring weird. legitimately freaked me out for a second. Moving on . . . REGARDING THE MOLE TWIST: I think Wiglesworth might be the mole! I checked our mole's profile yesterday, and it said that they'd posted 0 times so far, where the other tribe's mole has. Obviously there's shit to post about, so it's only logical to assume the one not posting is the same one not posting anywhere at all -- AFKelly. Man, it'd be hilarious if this were the case.

Oh wow, and I almost forgot the most important bit of all -- I've got Coach-Bot 2.0 going! On Pure 3, I basically talked up someone who did well in the first challenge, and figured I'd have a go at it again here. Aras is now known by my tribe as "Aras-Bot". EZ.
On the other hand, I think Goth Alec is attempting to do something similar to me. He's always congratulating me, saying that I'm the hero of the tribe for staying up all night on guard, etc. He could just be a nice guy, of course, but this is Survivor. You've got to always assume that there's a sinister reason behind everything people say and do. Especially with me! Muaahhahahahahha. Yeah, I cringed, too.

Round Two - Challenge

Ayyy. Yup, still not too much going on, unfortunately. Erik is in the chat right now looking to play Cards Against Humanity, but nobody is online, and I think he may actually be too high to notice. I'm sure he'll throw on an episode of Rick and Morty or something, though. Eventually.

Ashley apparently spoke to Joaq today and brought my name up as someone she's close to. Erkkk. Not good. I'm getting tired off all this JoaqTalk. I spoke about it to Younweik and actually framed it as Joaq and Ashley being close, and that I'm the third wheel in that scenario. Younweik says Joaq is slippery. Perfect. I also planted a seed with Ami today about Joaq talking to everyone. I wonder if anything'll come out of that.

As for the challenge, I've chosen to do the puzzle, which I also did during the second round of Rustic 2. I did terribly. I think I probably did terribly this time, too. Doesn't matter, though. Everyone thinks Wiglesworth is the mole, and she's doing the puzzle, too. I'll just blame it on her, LOL.

We still haven't even filled out all of the roles, which is kind of ridiculous. Part of me wants to go on there and, like, yell at everyone do to this and that, but I'm just going to sit around and eat coconuts, instead. Let them sabotage themselves. I don't care if we lose.

In regards to the alternate, Tracy, I literally haven't seen her once. I actually forgot she was even a thing until tonight. Or, last night. Either or, depending on your time zone. She's probably the one sitting out, which means she may actually end up going home over Wiglesworth. Me, I just see two easy votes. Doesn't matter too much which of them goes, mole or not. In fact, I still sort of suspect Goth Alec.

Round Three - Pre-Challenge

I don't know why I'm writing this right now, 'cause I'm still pretty upset about production's decision, but whatever. I'll let everyone know that I disagree with both Shane and Alexis' actions, and also the decision to boot Shane for unsolicited information. Shane was my #1 in this game, and it's like I've been indirectly punished for doing the right thing. Probably won't be doing that again.

In regards to the game, I took a huge hit with Shane going. I lack a close ally now, and Shane was a big part of my plans for post-merge. I don't know what I'm going to do here. I guess wait for someone else to approach me, and test the waters there. Joaq already spoke to me, obviously, and I spoke to him about pulling in another ally. He suggested Goth Alec. I agreed. So now I guess Goth Alec is replacing Shane within my primary alliance, so there's that.
