...It's gonna be real awkward if Wiglesworth shows up after I used that for my title.
ANYWAY, congratulations to both of you. This was a crazy tough game, and you both deserve some serious props for making it to the end. Not gonna lie, it's kind of a bitter pill sitting here listening to y'all say I played a good game and could have won. Getting that close and getting shot down at the last minute sucks a nut, but it is what it is, but hey, I made it past first juror for once, so there's no bitterness on my end.
Ami - I think that your game was kind of underrated by a lot of people. You obviously had a decent handle on things. That being said, there were a lot of times where it was frustrating to work with you in this game, most notably at the final eight when you and Joaq tried to put the Caleb blindside in motion too quickly and wound up nearly getting all of us voted out, and then kept fighting with Caleb while I was trying to do damage control and fix what you screwed up. In later rounds, I didn't hear a peep out of you and just had to kind of assume you were going to follow whatever plan we had made last time we talked, and it would have been nice to get a PM or something to assure me that you were at least aware of what we were doing going forward.
What I think turns me off about you, though, is that you swore to me repeatedly that we were ride or die together, you weren't ever gonna ditch me. I repaid you for that by repeatedly bluffing about the idol to make sure you'd stick around, and always including you in any plans I came up with. You, on the other hand, made promises to Rudy at final three and final four, the first of which did not include me, and the second of which I found out from Rudy instead of you.
You've openly admitted that you didn't make (m)any moves by yourself in this game, and frankly I don't agree with your assertion that you don't have to make moves to win. You don't have to make big unnecessary moves, but there's nothing wrong with stepping up and taking a bit of a leadership role in the necessary ones. Just because you don't have to do it doesn't mean that you shouldn't.
Rudy - Frankly I think this FTC isn't so much a question of whether people will vote for Ami as it is about whether they're going to vote against you. You were selfish and unnecessarily mean at a lot of points in this game, and I can see why people are frustrated by that. Personally, I don't really care. I don't remember you being an ass to me.
Still, the simple fact of the matter is that none of us really have a good excuse for not stopping you. We all agreed in majority rules that this was probably going to be the outcome of the game if nobody did anything, and nobody did. We kept putting our own petty concerns ahead of the obvious threat, and that's on all of us. And it's also my fault for not stripping your idol at six because I self-voted like a dumbass, so there's that.
In my opinion, you had a lot of control in this game. Tyson more or less did whatever you told him, and you were very good at strategically leaking information to get people in a position where they were mistrustful of others and relying on you. As far as I'm concerned, nobody else in this game even came close to having the same level of influence.
So, I'm at a bit of a crossroads. On almost every level, I think Rudy outplayed Ami, except likability. Likability is important, but I don't know that it's important enough to be worth deciding a win when there's such an obvious disparity in every other area.
There isn't really a question that'll sway me one way or the other, and I'm probably not going to know until the last minute when I actually get up to the podium. But, since I'd like to ask a question anyway (on the off chance that you majorly blow it and make my decision easier), I'm going to.
What I'd like from both of you is to tell me the story of omg 3.0, who he is, why he came to hate me the way he does, his nefarious plots against me, and what ultimately happens between me and him from here on in. It can be as long or short as you like. I mostly just want to be entertained.
Kthnxbai, good luck!
