"I was on a game show and now I'm the game show girl who got a movie. That's how I consider myself."

Because sometimes, you just don't want to be c.haskell.rustic
So, I dived through Colleen's quotes on Brainyquote. They're almost more pretentious than trying to use brainyquote to come up with an alternative alias AIM. Perfect.
Anyway, I'm Colleen! Hi!
"So why Colleen," I hear myself pretend you asked. It's kind of a weird pick for me really, but I loved Borneo, and I wasn't Colleen's biggest fan, and she wasn't really someone I identified with, but I always liked her as a sweetheart. There's something odd about her edit, coming from before there were archetypal edits. She was less sweet and cute and more just a really young looking girl with a blend of sarcasm and wistfulness and innocence that eventually gets marred. Borneo is a huge favorite of mine, just for how different and strange the edit was. It's like half tragedy and half late 90s summer show. It hits the sweet spot of what I love in anything, and choosing Colleen is an extension of how much I love weird misfit oddities. Borneo wasn't a typical survivor, and Colleen's not the typical sweetheart.
I dunno, I wanted to post something, and I thought that would make a fun icebreaker.
Anyway, thoughts on the challenge right now: It's interesting. My captains-challenge-dar is going way off, but I expect its possibly a twist on that too. I dunno, I haven't researched the series heavily enough yet to know if you've done that before yet. Captains Challenges are really popular though, and for good reasons I could go on about for a while. But being a captain is a fucking pain. I hate the types who throw challenges and I'm the type that gives their all in challenges, but captains can be cursed. So winning this challenge: not really my priority. But I'm not going to throw it. If a decent but not balls-to-the-wall effort gets me the spot, fine, but I'm not throwing it. I'm going for the puzzle because I like those a lot. They're fun!
So, anyway, I'm not sure if we're doing AIM yet or not, but I hope not. I hate talking before tribes are up tbh. The less people I have to chat with, the better. I'm planning to take the social game as genuine, raw and real me as I can without alias breaks. Age, gender, major, locale, those can give me away, along with some of my favorite games and stuff like that, but other than that, I'm hoping to be honest and genuine. That's another reason I picked Colleen. I feel like I have an excuse to be real and personal with her, whereas someone who's a big character wouldn't give me that opportunity. And I feel like I could get away with being a little more open with her, while as anyone else I'd probably default to being closed off and impersonal like I usually am.
I guess that's it for now. Back to the puzzle!
